JORDAN SPELLMAN , MD

Jordan Spellman, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist known for his thoughtful, patient-centered approach to mental health care. He works at Avant Medical Consulting in Dublin, Ohio, and brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, academic leadership, and genuine curiosity to his work with patients, colleagues, and students alike.

Dr. Spellman earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Avalon University School of Medicine before completing his psychiatry residency at East Carolina University Health Medical Center, where he developed a strong foundation in evidence-based psychiatric care across diverse clinical settings. His training emphasized comprehensive evaluation, accurate diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning for a wide range of mental health conditions.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Spellman is deeply committed to education and advancing the field of psychiatry. He currently serves as a Professor of Psychiatry at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and also holds a faculty appointment as Professor of Psychiatry at Adena Health in Chillicothe, Ohio. In these roles, he mentors medical students and residents, contributes to academic programming, and supports the development of future mental health professionals.
